I feel like I’d waited years for this: to link up all those trails that I knew into one big tour to follow the spine of Wales from the north to the south – a Welsh Divide, if you will.
From the top of the Great Orme to the end of Worm’s Head: 4 days, 430 km, 11,300m ascent.
Mate this looks awesome, I am really jealous. Very impressive though, all those trails and carrying all your own kit.
Thanks mate. The carrying of gear wasn’t as hard as it might appear. Reckon the total bike weight was about 36lbs, but I had nothing on my back so riding comfort was fine. Still the best part of 12 hours each day on the bike though, so general fatigue an issue where the trails were rocky
I don’t suppose you have a gpx of said tour?
I’ll probably do something in due course. Time was short for this post, but I’ll put some more words up about it all later with more detail on the trip.
would be really interested in doing something like this myself 🙂 can’t wait to read more.
