I have been to Pontrhydfendigaid a few times before, the first time I too was relying on food at the place, never made that mistake again as I never see anything open. Its like the general store at Peak Forest in the Peak District, it never ever seems to be open.

My mate Alun and I made it to the overnight camp after a prolonged stop in the Bridge Inn, Grinton. I went back up to the Dales for the first time since then last half term (October 2011) and try as I might, I couldn’t locate the site of the overnight. You don’t happen to recall where it was do you?
